Key thoughts:

This book has great tips and insights into being an influencer. There are tips and insights from influencer icons, agents, and more. There are even sections called “Don’t be that girl” that tell you what not to do. If you are ready to take your influencing skills to the next level this book would be a handy tool to get familiar with.

Review:

This book does a great job explaining what to do once you have become semi-influential. If you are in the lifestyle or fashion skill set it’s even better for you. A few things that you can take away from this book and implement right away are: use more than one platform, learn from others that do what you are doing and be human.

Influencer talks about using multiple platforms at the same time, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and a blog/vblog. It also recommends checking out and subscribing to influencers that have the same interests as you do. You can learn a lot from and share tips with these influencers. This book also reminds you to not be too perfect, to show that you can make mistakes and have bad days like the people who follow you. Most importantly, don’t let the haters get you down.

While there are pieces of this book that I can definitely use right away, I feel this book is geared more towards those influencers that have already found their niche and have over 100k followers. I also found this book was aimed more towards those who are pursuing a fashion or lifestyle career.

Overall though it was a good read. I will definitely keep it on my bookshelf and reference back to it every now and then to see if I am going in the right direction. I would say anyone who wants a career in the influencer business can definitely glean some great tips from this book and I would definitely recommend it.
